Original Cottage bathroom gets a makeover!
The original shower was very small and overdue to be replaced. In October 2022 our builder extended the wall, floor and ceiling to enable a much larger walk in shower to be installed. Thanks Chris!

BIRD COUNT
Never getting around to putting scientific names to the many birds that frequent this property, we were most appreciative that Tom May was able to give us a list of 41 bird species on a recent visit.

2016
in 2016 we installed double glazed windows in the lounge (old timber cottage) after reading Alan Cuthberton’s excellent website article:

Every square metre of single 3 mm glass transmits the equivalent energy of an old style 60 watt light globe when the outside temperature is 10 degrees cooler than inside. Main window was nearly 3 square metres so that was a lot of energy lost particularly in the middle of a Mount Cole Winter! Alan was able to organise manufacture of double glazed units that we installed ourselves. Just remove the timber quad and existing glass, insert the new windows, a bit of silicon to gaps, replace the quad and hey presto all finished!
